And per KRAFTON’s press release (updated (11/4 @ 0719 BST) with a minor revision to the bolded):

CH Kim, CEO of KRAFTON, visited NVIDIA’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California, on April 10 (local time) to meet with CEO Jensen Huang and discuss strengthening collaboration in the fields of gaming and AI. The meeting continued the two companies’ partnership, built on collaborative efforts in AI technologies.

The two leaders explored opportunities for collaboration and expansion across the Robotics field, including technology such as Humanoid Robots.

During the meeting, CH Kim expressed his appreciation, saying, “I’m thrilled that our collaboration with NVIDIA on on-device AI has led to the launch of the first meaningful product in Gaming AI.”

The collaboration merges the strengths of KRAFTON—renowned for its creative game development capabilities and differentiated AI technologies—with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge AI solutions. In January, KRAFTON unveiled ‘CPC (Co-Playable Character)’, an agentic framework in collaboration with NVIDIA, at CES 2025—the world’s largest IT exhibition—marking a significant milestone for the global gaming industry.

CPC is an advanced AI-driven character enabled by an on-device Small Language Model (SLM) for gaming, built with NVIDIA ACE technology. Unlike traditional Non-Playable Characters (NPCs) that follow pre-scripted behaviors, CPCs dynamically understand game situations and respond in real time. This enables more natural, immersive interactions with players.

KRAFTON plans to continue innovating player experiences by integrating CPC into its game portfolio, including the PUBG IP Franchise and inZOI, and aims to establish it as a benchmark for the gaming industry.

The CPC for the PUBG IP Franchise, called ‘PUBG Ally,’ will serve as a reliable companion for players. It engages in natural conversations, makes strategic decisions, and dynamically adjusts game strategies in various multiplayer scenarios.

In inZOI, which recently launched in early access, the CPC known as ‘Smart Zoi’ interacts with other Zois to create a comprehensive community simulation. Zois can act autonomously, spreading rumors, following fashion trends, and building relationships based on their individual life experiences, crafting a deeper and more immersive world.

As stated, KRAFTON utilises AI technologies in inZOI (and the game was prominently shown on stage at Nvidia’s previous shows), with one of the main features (“Smart Zois”) being an Nvidia GPU exclusive feature. Both companies plan to continue building features that are reliant on LLM technology and for Nvidia, this is especially relevant as they’ve been building tech more so for business usage since the AI boom started.
