In a piece of totally self-indulgent news, our awesome community funded project, CONSOLE WARS THE CARD GAME – has finally started shipping to backers across the world today.
In case you have no idea what I’m writing about, we successfully Kickstarted Console Wars The Card Game last year in just 72 hours, and following a successful booth at Gamescom 2024, refined the game before production to make it the very best thing it can be. Now, after a couple of years of very hard work, the game is releasing directly into the hands of those who supported us.
What is Console Wars The Card Game?
Console Wars The Card Game brings players into the competitive world of the video game industry. Your goal is to grow a loyal and dedicated fanbase while securing the best platform-exclusive titles.
Strategize to outshine your rivals and prove your platform reigns supreme!
If a player runs out of fans, they risk losing their valuable franchises, making it crucial to maintain a strong and loyal fanbase.
Players can launch attacks against one another in various ways, but unpredictable global events will continuously disrupt the gaming industry, adding an extra layer of challenge.
What’s in the Box?
In the standard edition of Console Wars The Card Game, we’ve included 165 cards. Special Edition backers get a copy of the DLC pack, with even more to customise their deck with. All backers will also receive a limited edition “Kickstarted” holo-card, only available with this version of the game.
I missed out, can I still get one?
The good news is – yes! In May, we’re launching the game and the DLC pack at Retail via Amazon Prime in the UK, Mainland Europe in addition to (depending on how all this tariff nonsense shakes out) the US, Canada and Mexico. We’ll share more details on that when the Amazon store goes live.
If you’re in the UK, we’re also attending UK Games Expo (Hall 4, Stand 308), and it’ll be the first time the game is on sale in the UK at a booth. To celebrate, we’ve made some shiny exclusive “Sponsored” cards, which we’ll be giving away to customers while stocks last.
