South of Midnight’s global launch time, which includes Game Pass, has been announced by developer Compulsion Games.

South of Midnight is out in early access, for those who bought the $40 version or are just playing on Xbox Game Pass the launch time is now out:

It’s a global launch which goes live at Noon EDT US and 5 PM BST on Tuesday, April 8th. The “New Zealand trick” will not work here, as the game isn’t out there until 4 AM NZST on the 9th of April.
We reviewed the title at launch, stating:
Well, let me tell ya a little tale abouta girl named Hazel Flood. Her mama got swept downriver in a terrible hurricane. Desperate to find her, Hazel awoke her magical abilities as a Weaver. The threads that bind the cosmos were laid bare, so she could help heal those who had wronged or been wronged. Hazel found herself on a journey through the wonderous and terrifying. All the while learning more about her Ma, Pa, and the people in her life. There are some slips and dips. In the end, this tale, set South of Midnight, is one worth taking.
South of Midnight is a gothic folk-tale set in the current or recent past, American South. I got heavy Louisiana vibes in this Compulsion Games production. You take on the role of Hazel Flood. She runs track, lives with her mother in a house on a riverbank, and lost her father when she was young. The Flood family is the rich local land barons. Bunny Flood, Hazel’s absentee Grandma, never got along with Hazel’s ma, Lacey.
Are you going to try this one out? It’s Day One in Game Pass, so let us know in the comments below.
