As part of their “Opening a Bill Doors” GDC blog post Xbox has included a Steam Games tab in their mock-up of the Xbox UI on various devices.

Is the Next Xbox the “Everything” device?
Rumors have been swirling for a while that the next Xbox may be a PC that emulates past consoles and can natively play all of your PC library. That means Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and the rest all being natively playable on your Xbox “console”.
In a blog post today by Leo Olebe – VP of Global Partnerships, Xbox, a mock-up of the Xbox UI on shows a Steam tab alongside Installed, Owned, Game Pass, Owned (again?), and then various categories.
Billions and Billions
In the main text itself, Mr. Olebe says:
At Xbox, our mission is clear: bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet. We believe that gamers should be able to play the games they want, with the people they want, anywhere they want. Central to this vision is empowering game creators to deliver exceptional content across all platforms seamlessly. Our goal is simple: to make every screen in the world an Xbox.
This past year has been a particularly productive one for us at Xbox. We’ve updated our hardware offerings, significantly improved the Xbox PC App, and forged new partnerships with industry leaders such as Samsung, LG, and FireTV, extending Xbox’s presence to even more screens worldwide. To solidify our commitment to cross-platform integration, we launched the Stream Your Own Game service, which allows Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to purchase and stream games outside the existing Game Pass catalog across PCs, mobile devices, and Smart TVs. The initiative has seen impressive adoption, particularly in Latin American markets like Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico, presenting significant opportunities for developers to expand their audiences. One partner notably gained one million new players for an established game franchise through this service.
Are you interested in an Xbox that can play your PC games? If so let us know in the comments below.

As a series x and steam deck owner, I would love an Xbox that can play my pc games. There are so many good value outlets for pc games I have built up quite a library and modded steam deck to play epic and gog games too.
Would be amazing to see really. Since getting a laptop I literally haven’t powered on my series S in months. Even then it was mostly just a YouTube machine. Playing steam games on it would give me a reason to actually use it again.
It’s inevitable. This is why Xbox is always my first choice to purchase anything on. They’re the most forward thinking and consumer friendly company in the history of this medium.
