Noted twitter Rockstar focused leaker, Tez2, has been following updates to the Rockstar Launcher which include numerous mentions of GTA V rejoining Game Pass, and this time it might show up on PC as well.

Back in July of 2024 Tez2 noted additions referencing Xbox Game Pass’s PC store as Rockstar was: “preparing #GTAV to be playable via Xbox’s PC Game Pass for future availability“.
Today he’s stated in a quote tweet that “Today’s Rockstar Games Launcher update added support for the Xbox PC app, gearing up for #GTAV arrival on Xbox PC Game Pass.” GTA V has been on and off the Xbox Game Pass subscription a few times before. This would be the first time it was available on PC via tying into the Rockstar Launcher.

The PC version of GTA V was recently updated to match the current generation console versions:
Rockstar Games announced that the PC version of their massive mega-hit sandbox adventure title ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ will see a free upgrade that brings parity to the next-generation console version of the game. This upgrade includes new vehicles and related upgrades, ray tracing support amongst DLSS 3 and FSR 1/3 upscaling support, a refreshed landing page, and much more.
New Features on PC
Once upgraded, current PC players — along with anyone playing the game for the first time — will have access to a full suite of much-requested GTA Online upgrades previously only available on the latest consoles:
- Enjoy a range of new vehicles and upgrades at Hao’s Special Works (HSW) that push automotive performance to new heights, and test your driving skills with Premium Test Rides, HSW Races, and HSW Time Trials.
- Encounter Ambient Animals all across Southern San Andreas and take pictures of them to participate in the daily Wildlife Photography Challenge for new rewards.
- PC players can sign up for GTA+ Membership to get special benefits in the upgraded version of GTA Online and beyond.
