So you’ve reached the end of the list—thanks for stopping by! Below are some more JRPG titles that range from “all right” to “why am I playing this?”. And, sure, you could be better off doing something else than playing the following—self-improvement, learning a trade or skill, taking a nap—but why would anyone want to do any of that?!
Enjoy the list below at your own discretion. Just like the main list, I’ll toss in new ideas that I’ve come up with over time.

Neptunia Sisters Vs Sisters
Developer Compile Hearts’ ‘Neptunia’ series of games cannot be described without the words “junk food” at least twice. These titles feature questionable performance, bland questing, horrific environment art direction, stories that really don’t go anywhere for hours, and assets that have been reused since time immemorial (including that horrific starting map). Asset reuse isn’t bad mind you, but it’s up to the developer to make it not as blatant as in the Neptunia games.
But it’s a series about cute girls doing cute things, gaming consoles and the game industry personified. It’s a unique take, even if much of the released games are a product of their time. Sisters VS Sisters is one such game, having players take on the role of the main console’s sisters Nepgear, Rom & Ram, and Uni as they search for Nepgear’s missing big sister after mobile gaming takes over.
If that piques your interest, know that Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters is available on Xbox consoles and PC via Play Anywhere. Check out our review of the game, too! A sequel title, ‘Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution’, is also out on Xbox Series consoles and PC as well.

SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection
‘SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection’ is an all right RPG. It has some good ideas but ultimately doesn’t land the execution on other aspects (like level design, story, etc). But! I liked Last Recollection quite a bit in the end. Something about the SWORD ART ONLINE games leaves me always wanting for more even if they aren’t exactly must-play games.
SWORD ART ONLINE Last Recollection is available on Xbox consoles. Check out our review of the game!
We’ll be back with more!
