Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers will be able to stream Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Year of the Ninja

While you haven’t got long to wait, would you like to stream Assassin’s Creed Shadows wherever you like if you own it on Xbox? Ubisoft and Microsoft have teamed up to share a little extra good news for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers who plan on buying the game.

Xbox recently announced a “Stream Your Own Games” feature as a value-add for Xbox Game Pass Subscribers, and now, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is the lastest game to take advantage of it. Sharing the new on social media platform X (Formerly Twitter), Xbox posted “A new addition to the “Stream your own game” library is emerging from the darkness soon.”

This is sure to delight addicted players, who will likely plan spending hours and happily stream Assassins Creed Shadows as they roam around in open world feudal-Japan.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Preview

Ubisoft invited us to spend roughly four hours playing Assassin’s Creed: Shadows via the cloud for a preview of the game back in January, with our editor Jesse saying, “Shadows feels new in a way things haven’t for a while. The graphics and facial animations are top-tier, and the combat was fluid and fun. Story-wise I was in from the word go.”

Writing, voice work, it all felt tv/movie natural. Like Shogun on TV. Playing in the native languages, and having characters swap between Portuguese and Japanese, I felt swept up in it all and cannot wait for the full launch in March.

Are you looking forward to playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows? You can look forward to our full review on March 18th 2025.
