Will the next Xbox console have Steam?
Reports are flying everywhere, including those from friends of the site, Jez Corden and Tom Warren, and people want to know if the next Xbox console will let you play Steam on it.

Unified Ecosystem
According to Tom Warren’s latest Notepad (go sign up!), Xbox is looking to unify its Xbox Library along with PC. Essentially, you would get a piece of hardware that could play everything you own on Xbox, is fully backward compatible, and could play your PC games.
Steam, Epic Games Store, Amazon’s launcher, etc., all work on Windows. Microsoft owns Windows, so the Xbox OS would gain access to the Windows kernel to allow those PC launchers to run on it. It is an ambitious plan that includes making a single SKU for “Xbox” development. That SKU would give developers a version of their game that works on Xbox consoles, PC, and Xbox’s Cloud infrastructure.

What consoles would be available?
Earlier reporting from fellow friend of the site, Jez Corden, stated that Xbox is looking to release.their own Xbox Handheld and Series X successor in 2027. The handheld PC in Tom’s reporting would be from Asus and essentially only a PC. This Xbox handheld in 2027 would be the full on Xbox experience with full backwards compatibility for your current console library.
