SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance gets a release date

SEGA’s SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance was given a release date at today’s State of Play.

SEGA of America announced the game will be coming out on August 29th, 2025 in the following press release:

“During today’s Sony State of Play Broadcast, SEGA of America announced SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, an exciting new 2D action platformer set in a uniquely illustrated world created in collaboration with Lizardcube, the studio behind the acclaimed Streets of Rage 4. First revealed at The Game Awards 2023 alongside other legacy SEGA franchises, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Nintendo Switch on August 29, 2025. It is now available for pre-order on select platforms.

Rife with multiple paths to discover or unlock and packed with smooth, satisfying gameplay, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance will have players attacking and reacting on the move— and keep them coming back for more.”

Multiple “Key Features” were announced including:

  • Execute the Ninja Arts with Precision – Wield your vast ninja arsenal including the great Katana Oborozuki, Kunai, Ninjutsu arts, and Ninpo to vanquish your foes.  
  • Master the Way of the Shinobi – Unleash limitless combos with unique combat moves, acquire Amulets for enhanced abilities, and discover Ningi tools to overcome obstacles and uncover new paths.
  • Journey Through a Stylistic New World – Venture through more than a dozen unique and visually striking stages, from military bases to a scorching desert, and tackle challenging platforming puzzles.
SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance release date
