XboxGamePass’s twitter account has replied to this story, stating the title was accidentally included in the email and is not in fact part of the service.

Reddit users on the Xbox subreddit have noticed that the company is advertising World of Warcraft as available in Xbox Game Pass
A Reddit thread has shown two images claiming that World of Warcraft is coming to Xbox Game Pass. The first image, shown above, says that “Call of Duty, Diablo IV, World of Warcraft, and More” are in the service. The second image, below, shows PC and Console icons for the title. WoW has never had a release outside of the Battle.net launcher on PC.
World of Warcraft was released back in 2004 to enormous commercial and critical success. For over 20 years it has been the genre-defining Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game for Western audiences. Xbox now owns Activision-Blizzard-King, the corporation behind the title.
A console port has been talked about for years, though no concrete rumors have emerged. It is interesting to see the game be referenced in any way in a Game Pass advertisement. World of Warcraft still costs users $15 a month to play, outside of the cost for each new expansion.

I think WoW coming to consoles is a matter of when not if, but I don’t think they’ll include the game’s subscription in Gamepass. Right now the base game is free to play up to a certain point, so including the game in gamepass wouldn’t change that and might convince more people to try it out.
Having said that, if they included the subscription with GP Ultimate, they could maybe then offer another monthly fee that includes special mounts, pets and transmogs for those that want those things. It would also probably lead to more items for people to straight up purchase. It would be a delicate situation as the fanbase is very sensitive to change.
They could imply cloud gaming.
If WoW does come to consoles I could see them doing the console version sub being included in Game Pass but not PC. I think it’s a pretty tough ask to get people to pay for online use on console then tack on an additional $15 per month sub to access 1 game.
A big one, but it was a mistake.
Welp, the correction doesn’t mean it isn’t planned to come to Xbox or consoles. Just that, correctly, it isn’t in either right now.
