Split Fiction goes Gold, gets a new trailer ahead of March 6th release

Collaboration!

The folks at Hazelight Studios and EA Originals have released a shiny new trailer for Split Fiction, a game that continues their tradition of co-op focused releases following the great success of It Takes Two back in 2021.

The trailer is narrated by Game Director and Founder of Hazelight, Josef Fares, and he takes on a little tour to show us the variety of gameplay and environment on offer. Through sci-fi worlds filled with gravity manipulation and futuristic motorbikes, or fantasy worlds where the player characters can transform into unique creatures to solve puzzles and traverse the land.

They also show off what the developers call ‘side-stories’, which are “optional one-off adventures hidden in the main story levels that shake up the mechanics even more..”.

Per the Press Release, “In Split Fiction, players work together as Mio, a realist Sci-Fi writer, and Zoe, an optimistic fantasy novelist, embark on a split-screen adventure through their own stories. As they leap across thrilling and radically contrasting worlds in their attempt to escape, players will coordinate with each other and build new skills and tools all while uncovering the power of unexpected friendship.

Split Fiction will launch March 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA app for $49.99. Players can also invite a friend to play with them for free on any platform (Crossplay on PS, Xbox & PC) with the Friend’s Pass.

Stuck on this god-forsaken island. Father of two, wishes he could play more games but real life always gets in the way. Prefers shorter and often smarter experiences, but Halo is King.
