Writing on social media platform X (Formerly Twitter), they said “We’re pleased to announce that our first project as Pocketpair Publishing will be supporting a brand new horror game from Surgent Studios. SURGENT STUDIOS is a studio with an original approach, and Pocketpair is excited to support them to the fullest extent. Please look forward to future announcements for details of specific projects!“

Palworld developer PocketPair announced the launch of their new publishing label PocletPair Publishing on their website to coincide with this reveal. Their new mission in game publishing is pretty simple – “Find fun games, help make those fun games a reality!“
PocketPair Publishing: “We understand the challenges of creating your dream game. At Pocketpair , we’ve been fortunate to find success. Now, more than anything, we want to use that success to help other developers achieve theirs.“
Surgent Studios are the talented team behind Tales of Kenzera: Zau, a game our reviews editor Jesse thoroughly enjoyed last year. In his review, he said: “Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a triumphant debut for Surgent Studios. Any fan of the action-platformer genre would do well to check it out. Zau’s journey through loss will stick with me for a long time, and the excellent gameplay already has me itching to play through it all again.”
Despite generally positive reception, the development team were put on formal notice, due to lack of funding. Sounds like they’ve found a path forward with PocketPair Publishing, which is great to hear.
