Well, here’s a nice surprise—as spotted by XboxEra community member mrhipshot, publisher Bandai Namco’s 3D arena fighter ‘DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2’ has seemingly become a Play Anywhere title. Players who own a digital entitlement of the game for Xbox consoles can now download and play Xenoverse 2 on their Windows 10/11 machines free of charge with their progress intact thanks to cloud saves. Presumably, this means that Xenoverse 2 is gearing up to be a future Xbox Game Pass title… Or, Bandai Namco is showing interest in updating their older titles to become Play Anywhere games.
Do note that the first Xenoverse still remains a console-only game, no Play Anywhere updates for that. Still, Xenoverse 2 continues to surprise me as a game that continues to receive updates and DLC content for well over eight years now, including next-gen versions! Check out DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 on the Xbox Store here for yourself and you can start downloading the PC version by searching for the game on the Microsoft Store app on Windows—the game currently isn’t appearing on the Xbox app just yet as we’ve previously covered as an issue for the Xbox platform.
