Coming to Early Access, at least on Steam, Slay The Spire 2 is still coming in 2025 from developers MegaCrit. Prepare to climb the tower, again!

REMATCH

From the studio behind SIFU comes REMATCH, a 5v5 action football game that’s as much Rocket League without the cars as it is a take on EA’s long running Football series.

One Move Away

One Move Away is a comfy looking, first-person puzzle game in the vein of Unpacking. In One Move Away, pack your belongings as you move from place to place! It’s Car Tetris, basically.

Shadow Labyrinth

This is one hell of a take on Pac-Man. In Shadow Labyrinth, you play as Swordsman No.8, awoken by a familiar looking character, set on a patch to consume your enemies. Bonkers!

WarFrame 1999

WarFrame 1999 is coming in 2025. According to the developers “At last, Arthur Nightingale and his trusty Atomicycle are yours to control. Explore the streets of Höllvania at your leisure and get a feel for the 20th century ahead of the full release of Warframe: 1999 this winter.

The Witcher 4

It’s official – The Witcher 4 is the next single player open world RPG from developers CD Projekt Red. It’s Ciri, and it’s the start of a new saga to enjoy. There’s no Gods here – only monsters.

Splitgate 2

Splitgate 2 got itself a brand-new explosive trailer, giving fans a glimpse of the game last seen since Gamescom. Plus, a new three-team game mode gets teased! Check out the trailer and our interview with the head honcho of the studio right this way.

Elden Ring: Nightreign

Oh good lord, a new Elden Ring game! And it’s coming in 2025, in the vein of a co-op title! Per the official PR: “Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the upcoming game, ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN, will thrust players into co-op multiplayer PVE combat against a harsh and unforgiving world. Teaming up in squads of three – or daring to go solo – they must outlast a three day-and-night cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across changing maps to become strong enough to take down terrifying bosses at the end of each day.”

The Outer Worlds 2

Colour us surprised! We know Obsidian is already releasing Avowed early 2025, but who had The Outer Worlds 2 on their bingo card for next year, let alone the date being revealed by Xbox at The Game Awards? Not us! It’s coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S (And Game Pass of course) and yes, PS5.

Split Fiction

I adored It Takes Two from Hazelight, and there next game, Split Fiction looks to amping up the co-op action all over again. The good news is I won’t have to wait long, it’s coming March 6th 2025!

Borderlands 4

That’s Borderlands alright. The new sequel from Gearbox Software, brings back the signature co-op lootin’n’shootin the series is known for, in what they say is “the most ambitious Borderlands yet”. Borderlands 4 is coming in 2025.

Onimusha: Way of The Sword

A blast from the past! Capcom’s Onimusha series reawakens with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a brand new title coming in 2026.

Stage Fright

From the team behind Overcooked! and publisher Hello Games, comes Stage Fright, an all new co-operative game full of adventure, puzzles and more!

Double Dragon Revive

A modern take on the classic Double Dragon series, Double Dragon Revive is coming October 23rd 2025.

Screamer

Another old IP being brough back from the dead, Screamer is a new take on the 1995 racing game. Per the PR, “Screamer returns in the form of a futuristic, story-driven racing game, featuring animated cutscenes created in collaboration with Japanese animation studio Polygon Pictures, and featuring the voice talent of Troy Baker. Screamer will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2026.

TUROK: ORIGINS

Turok: Origins revives the legendary game franchise’s action and spirit while bringing it forward into the modern era with a completely new look, story, and gameplay. Players will take on the role of fierce Turok warriors to face off against ferocious dinosaurs and a terrifying alien threat that seeks to destroy all human life in the galaxy. Fans can unleash devastating attacks on enemies with weapons and abilities, and harness fallen enemies’ DNA to upgrade their arsenal. Players will embark on a high-stakes adventure — solo or with friends — to unravel mysteries that hold the key to saving humanity.

We’ll add more as we get around to it, but suffice to say, Xbox at The Game Awards was well represented, with plenty of new games coming our way.

Jon "Sikamikanico" Clarke

Stuck on this god-forsaken island. Father of two, wishes he could play more games but real life always gets in the way. Prefers shorter and often smarter experiences, but Halo is King.
