The latest addition to Xbox Game Pass, Aliens: Dark Descent, is now live. The game is available on Xbox Series, the Microsoft Store on PC, and via Cloud Streaming. It is not a play anywhere title, though it should offer up cross-save compatibility according to the capabilities listed on the store page. The game was released in 2023 to a 75 on OpenCritic. It was created by Tindalos Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. The game describes itself as:
“Aliens: Dark Descent is a real-time strategy game blending tactical gameplay with survival horror. Critics praise its tense atmosphere, strategic depth, and faithful adaptation of the Aliens universe, including thrilling combat against xenomorphs. The stress management system and tactical controls keep players engaged. However, some critics highlight technical issues, lackluster storytelling, and abrupt transitions between stealth and boss fights, which hinder its full potential. Despite its flaws, the game delivers an intense and immersive experience for fans of both Strategy and the Aliens franchise.”
