In less than 48 hours after release, GSC Game World has revealed that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has just reached one million copies sold. This is not including Game Pass players either.
No wonder it feels a bit crowdy in the Zone. A million copies were sold, and much more stalkers joined the artifact hunt with Game Pass.

Watch our review of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl here
We gave STALKER 2 an 8.4/10 for it’s hard-hitting story, fantastic gameplay and it’s miserable, yet happy vibe. Although poor performance got in the way at times, it was still a great adventure.
This is an incredible milestone for GSC Game World and the STALKER franchise as a whole. Despite some problems like bugs and performance issues, we still had a lot of great things to say in our review of STALKER 2.

“S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is everything fans of the franchise could have ever dreamed of. Twelve years after the last entry GSC Game World has overcome adversity and created something special.”
Over the years, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has suffered from a number of understandable delays, but finally the game is in our hands. GSC Game World has also said that Free in-game content is also coming to the game, with a roadmap coming later in December.

With a year full of ambitious titles from different studios, it is nice to see STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl getting the love and support it deserves. This proves the STALKER franchise is still one dear to old, and now new, players hearts.
Although GSC Game World has not revealed how many Game Pass players STALKER 2 has, I think we can assume it is doing well on both Xbox and PC Game Pass.
