Well this is one hell of a surprise and make no mistake. In a new blog post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft have announced that starting today, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can stream select titles they own via Xbox Cloud Gaming, even if they’re not on Xbox Game Pass.
Per Ashley McKissick, VP of Xbox Experiences and Platform Engineering: “Starting today, I’m excited to announce that we’re allowing Game Pass Ultimate members to stream select games they own through TVs and browser on supported devices like smartphones, PCs, and tablets, in all 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) is available. This is just the beginning. Next year, we’re excited to bring this feature to Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on Windows.“

The team at Xbox have also advised you can stream your own games across multiple devices, including “Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices, Meta Quest headsets as well as other browser supported devices like PCs, smart phones, and tablets.”
I’ve got to admit, that’s a solid list, and I’ll definitely be using my Animal Well Xbox save on my Rog Ally X now. Microsoft have provided a handy guide on how to stream owned games, which you can find here or by heading to their support page.
