‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl’ Gets Dynamic Xbox Background

GET IN HERE STALKER

A new dynamic background has been added to the Xbox Series consoles’ growing list of animated wallpapers. This time, we’re in the Heart of Chornobyl with ‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl’ getting all dark and dreary on the backdrop of your console’s dashboard. It is lightly animated with moving wind zones and birds flapping about. Radioactive-friendly birds, probably, it seems our surviving dinosaurs are accustomed to the terrible climate in STALKER 2.

To apply this wallpaper to your console, simply head to Settings -> Personalisation -> My Background > Dynamic Backgrounds > Featured. Remember that Dynamic Background are not available on Xbox One consoles nor are they available on Windows PCs. But the latter can use Wallpaper Engine for cooler stuff!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available on Windows PCs and Xbox Series consoles, a game many years in the making. You can grab the game as part of Xbox Game Pass as well. Have a gander below for more details on this sequel to a beloved open-world survival game series. And check out our review of the game thisaway!

This STALKER 2 developer deep dive goes on 35 minutes, as we explore “The Zone” – STALKER 2’s large open world that consists of multiple regions for players to explore. That exploration is at the whim of the player, as they will be free to explore anywhere.

You play as “Skif” and will come up against all sorts of threats in ‘The Zone’ – Powerful mutants, phantom hounds and even creatures that raise the radiation local to where it is attacking. Not only that, but you’ll have to manage your hunger, thirst and make sure you get enough sleep on your journey.

It’s not all radioactive monsters to fight against though – there are a number of human factions you’ll encounter, and your choices will affect the outcome of the story.
