Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is landing in our Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC subscriptions and on Steam on November 19th. Back in September, a number of previews went live for and the game sounds very ambitious indeed. Naturally, we’re excited to go hands-on and bring you our verdict on the latest in this venerable franchise.
But when can you expect our review?
Due to the online nature and sheer scope of the game, we’ve been advised in advance that review code will not be available until the day of launch. I’d also imagine there’s an element of not pushing publications to rush a review out in a short space of time, with an unrealistic and brutally short time window to meet some sort of release day embargo.
As such, our Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 review period will be taking off at the same time as the rest of you, on the day of launch. We’ll be capturing footage and playtime across PC and Xbox Series consoles, and look to bring you the very best coverage we can in a reasonable time frame.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 brings an entirely new career system to the simulator giant, meaning a far more immersive experience for those who want a little more to do beyond just flying around. This ‘game-ification’ of the experience sounds like a great idea, and we’re super keen to see and explore the game with the community at launch.
It’s certainly shaping up to be one of the most ambitious simulators ever, the only question now being – can Microsoft and Asobo stick the landing?
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be playable at 4:00 PM GMT / 8:00 AM PT on November 19 and is available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC, as well as Steam.
