Last week, game distributor Limited Run Games announced a new set of releases for SEGA’s ‘Yakuza’ series of games. ‘Yakuza 0’ and ‘Yakuza Kiwami’ are set to get a physical rerun on PC and consoles once more, with extra goodies to boot. Both games will get a standard and a classic edition—the standard edition for Yakuza 0 will be available for the following consoles:
- Xbox
- PlayStation 4 (playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility)
While the standard version of Yakuza Kiwami will be available for the following consoles:
- Xbox
- PlayStation 4 (Playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility)
- Nintendo Switch
A PC version is available for both games, but you can only get this version of the release in the Classic Edition. If you pre-order any console version of Yakuza 0, you will also receive a free slipcase so you can fit in Kiryu’s series of games into a nice little package. Do note that this is the first time both games have been made available for Xbox consoles in a physical format.

Limited Run Games and SEGA have teamed up to bring Ryu Ga Gotoku’s beloved Yakuza™ series an all-new collection of physical releases. Starting with Yakuza 0 for Xbox and PlayStation 4 and Yakuza Kiwami for Xbox, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, pre-orders for standalone and Classic Editions launch on Friday, October 11th, 2024, and run through November 10th.
Limited Run believes this legendary series deserves a legendary set of collector’s editions. Classic Editions of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami each include a CD soundtrack, acrylic standee, and more collectibles that celebrate Yakuza’s colorful, often wild, and always dramatic world. Classic Editions will also be available for PC players in addition to console releases.
These first two releases kick off a full schedule of physical Yakuza releases, allowing fans to own a complete run of the series so far. The entire collection features a unified design, from cover art and CD cases to tattooed Classic Edition slipcovers. Fans who order the first entry in this collection, Yakuza 0, will also receive a free seven-game slipcase to display their collection.
