Xbox just put out their list of games coming to the Xbox Game Pass service for Wave One of October 2024.

Three new titles are coming to the service in wave one for October 2024. They are:
- Sifu (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 2
- Mad Streets (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 7
- Inscryption (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 10
Two title are joining the Standard tier of Game Pass, which does not get Day One games at launch. They are:
- MLB The Show 24 (Console) – October 2
- Open Roads (Console) – October 2
Both of these titles hit the service in March and April of 2024 respectively. This may be our first hint into how long the average day one release may take to hit the service, outside of first party.
Leaving the platform on October 15th are:
- Dyson Sphere Program (PC)
- Everspace 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- From Space (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- F1 Manager 2023 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Scorn (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Our own Nick Baker reviewed Sifu back at launch, stating:
Put simply, SIFU is a fantastic game. It’s everything I wish more modern video games were. Short (the game can be beaten in just a handful of hours if you’re good enough) but with an absolute stack of replay value. Be it via the brand new Arenas mode or through the games collectibles, modifiers and high score chasing.
There’s even a surprisingly in depth and creatively open photo mode and replay editor that allows you to take some beautiful artistic shots or create awesome clips of your action. Virtual Photographers and Video Editors should have a blast with this. Unfortunately I lack the creative spark to fully exploit the tools available here, but even a dullard like myself could appreciate the power of the tools at the player’s disposal here. It’s quite impressive.
PC, Switch and PlayStation players should definitely jump back in to try out the new Arenas mode and Xbox players should definitely give SIFU a go. If you can find a way to break through the difficulty barrier, there’s a fantastic brawler on offer here that I definitely think is the template going forward to bring the 2D scrolling beat ’em ups into the 3D world. Where previous efforts like Die Hard Arcade didn’t quite stick the landing, SIFU definitely takes home the gold.
Are you interested in any of the games hitting this month? Let us know in the comments below.

I definitely recommend playing SIFU. Even on easy, it’s challenging but man, is it good. love the combat/martial arts in the game.
I had my eye on playing Sifu a long while back, so I will definitely be trying this one out. Hopefully it isn’t too punishing for this old guy
Someone on Twitter raved about Inscryption considering it one of the best games ever made.
Anyone agree with that? I would usually check these games out without even looking for a second opinion but my backlog is so big that I do have to be picky at this point.
I havent played it but it will go straight to the top for me. 96% on steam, i remember it being a lot of peoples personal goty.
This month is amazing for GP, last 3-4 drops werent great. But now things are getting crazy
It’s a pretty good deck-builder/card game if you like those. There is a bit of a horror-ish theme to it and rouge-like elements where you will need to replay to get stronger cards.
Mad Streets review by Nick would be entertaining
