Elden Ring was 2022’s Game of the Year and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is 2024’s top-rated multiplatform release. Is Elden Ring in Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?
Elden Ring was released in 2022 to critical acclaim, winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards. We gave the title a 9.8, stating:
“Elden Ring is finally upon us and I will do my best to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible. A game that is this massive yet is so lovingly crafted should be, frankly, impossible. It features one of the biggest maps I’ve ever seen in a game, yet I never tired of exploring every nook and cranny I could find. In the week since review codes were sent out I’ve played over sixty hours across 5 different characters and all I want to do is play more.
From epic boss fights to some of the most incredible art design I’ve ever seen, FROM’s standard phenomenal soundtrack, and excellent controls, this game is truly special. They somehow managed to live up to the immense, daunting, quite frankly unrealistic hype. This is FROM Software’s Magnum Opus.”
Elden Ring is currently not available on Xbox Game Pass nor is it in PlayStation Plus. It has consistently been one of the top-selling games since launch, which has only picked up since the release of Shadow of the Erdtree. Bandai Namco haven’t put many games into the service in comparison to other publishers, and with many giving Shadow of the Erdtree positive reviews I wouldn’t expect the title to hit Game Pass or Playstation Plus any time soon.
