REPLACED delayed to 2025

REPLACED replaces its release date once again.

In an update shared by developer Sad Cat Studios on X (formerly Twitter) today, they’ve confirmed that the excellent-looking REPLACED will now ship in 2025.

A statement from Sad Cat Studios

“Hey Everyone” it reads, “We’ll keep it short. REPLACED will now be released in 2025. Our initial release date was optimistic, and we apologize for that. Developing REPLACED is quite a unique challenge, and we’re proud to be creating something that special.”

“We need more time to ensure we meet the high standards we’ve set for ourselves and to meet the expectations of our fans. Feel free to join our Discord – we post lots of devlogs there to share the progress and are open for a chat.”

“REPLACED was featured at Summer Games Fest earlier this summer, and now it will also finally be available at Gamescom for everybody to play! Come say “hi”!”

This is, in the end, good news. We’re attending Gamescom, so will bring you our thoughts on REPLACED from the show floor, and can’t wait to play the full game in 2025.

Until then? Best of luck to the development on their journey.

Stuck on this god-forsaken island. Father of two, wishes he could play more games but real life always gets in the way. Prefers shorter and often smarter experiences, but Halo is King.
