Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is coming to Xbox Game Pass tomorrow

Time for the Activision Acquisition to start paying its dues.

Xbox and Microsoft have today announced that Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is finally coming to Xbox Game Pass, arriving on the subscription service on July 24th, 2024.

As per Xbox Wire: Get ready to lock in and load(out) as Call of Duty Modern Warfare III makes its way to Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate starting July 24! Featuring a high-octane single player campaign, energetic multiplayer and the series’ first open world Zombies experience, this game offers something for every type of CoD player.

We’d not had anything from Activision added since Diablo VI earlier this year, so this is great to see. We also know that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will launch into the service on Day One…at least that is, for Ultimate Subscribers.

While rumours have been swirling regarding the addition of titles from Activision’s back-catolog into Microsoft’s premiere subscription service, today Xbox delivered the goods, finally bringing Call of Duty Modern Warfare III to the subscription on July 24th.

In case you missed it, Xbox Game Pass saw some fresh changes earlier this month. Alongside a price increase, we’ve got an entirely new tier for the service, named ‘Xbox Game Pass Standard’.

Anyone getting confused with the naming conventions yet?

‘Xbox Game Pass Standard’ is an entirely new tier for the service in all regions. This tier is a little different, being a little more like the existing EA Access service. Xbox Game Pass Standard will instead include the very large Xbox back-catalog, but the important distinction is it doesn’t include Day One Games – it does include multiplayer however.

So you may as well go get your game on in Call of Duty Modern Warfare III tomorrow!
