Xbox continues to go through internal overhauls and expansions as they grow into gamings largest publisher. New information has appeared via Linkedin of further developments including a new Xbox organization which apparently means Xbox’s internal studios will continue to grow closer together.
Fiona Cherbak, who has worked at Xbox for five years with a focus on talent acquisition for studios like The Coalition and The Initiative after playing an integral role in staffing up Sony Santa Monica for God of War, has a new role. Her new role is ‘Lead People & Talent Program Manager’ for Xbox Game Content and Studios.
Cherbak explains via linkedin that Xbox Game Content and Studios is a “newly minted” branch of Xbox that focuses on uniting all of Xbox’s first party studios across the globe.
Xbox has expanded drastically in the past 5 years including adding two publishers with Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard-King as well as several other internal studios. It makes sense why Xbox would create an organization that focuses specifically on making sure all studios are united to make sure teams across the organization are put in the best possible chance to succeed.
Xbox clearly has the talent to succeed and release high quality games from all of their studios at a regular cadence. The challenge now is making sure each studio has what they need to release the best possible product they can.
