New alleged Jet Set Radio Remake Footage surfaces online

Jet Set Radio Past?

Well this is certainly an interesting one. In case you missed it, Sega surprised and delighted gamers everywhere during The Game Awards in 2023 with the reveal of 5 new games in some venerable franchises were on the way, from Jet Set Radio to Crazy Taxi.

The full list? Using the phrase “New Era, New Energy!”, Sega detailed that new games would be arriving from the following franchises:

  • Jet Set Radio
  • Shinobi
  • Golden Axe
  • Streets of Rage
  • Crazy Taxi

Utilising the slogan “Power the next level” the trailer was a short but ultimately very sweet reintroduction to some absolutely classic games – all set to receive new releases that were now in active development.

Despite Sega confirming that it was working on a new game in the Jet Set Radio franchise, new images have leaked on X (formerly Twitter) from user MSKAZZY69 that reveal new screenshots from what is reportedly an entirely separate remake of the original Jet Set Radio.

MSKAZZY69 claims the source of these screenshots was notorious leaker “Midori”, who focused on leaks from Sega in particular and who recently closed their account on X.

Further to this, a further leak on YouTube shows off reported “Development Footage” of the game, which you can see below.
