Fans have noticed that the upcoming Square Enix title Visions of Mana is now Play Anywhere on the Xbox store

Visions of Mana is now showing as “playable on Xbox Series X|S & PC” in its Xbox store listing. Previously the title had been listed only for Xbox Series X|S.

This change comes a day before the game’s release date launch trailer. It is not yet available to purchase on the Xbox store as it does not have a release date as of today, so the price and (low) potential for inclusion in Game Pass are unknown for now. The game describes itself as:
“A new adventure begins in Visions of Mana – the first mainline title in the Mana series in over 15 years! Immerse yourself in the vibrant graphics of this beautiful world, where the powers of nature blend with the elemental aspects of mana to create a rich tapestry of life. Journey through enchanting locations with near-seamless transitions in a semi-open field that’s yours to discover.
Brace yourself for fast-paced, multi-dimensional actions in battle to enrich your fighting experience. Use the magic of the Elementals to explore this vast world to your heart’s content! Story: In Tianeea, the Fire Village, everyone is preparing to celebrate the coming of the Faerie and the naming of an “alm.” Every four years, alms from around the world are chosen to travel to the Tree of Mana and rejuvenate the flow of mana power. A soul guard is also chosen to ensure the alms’ safe pilgrimage.
Val is one such guard. On the day of the Faerie’s arrival, Val brings his childhood friend to the festival. As the sun falls beneath the skyline, all the spectators wait with bated breath, hoping to be chosen as an alm. The Faerie finally descends before Val’s friend, appointing her the Alm of Fire.
The villagers bid them both farewell, praying for their success as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime.”

Curse you Xbox for making digital attractive.
I didn’t click on this initially, thinking it was a game I just hadn’t heard of, lol.
That’s great news for those with a PC too.
Don’t forget the Ally/Deck with Windows/Legion/Others. That’s where the beauty of PA comes in.
Hm, what does this mean by the way? I mean you play on any location but i feel like there’s something else. To me i think it could very well release on Gamepass but i guess its too much to ask, right?
Oh shit, had not thought of that. I don’t mess with handhelds but that IS indeed very dope!
Hell yeah! One more reason for me to buy it on Xbox!
In my mind basically any game that has a Windows Store version is going to hit Game Pass at some point. Just not at launch.
Though if I want to play it I still tend to vote with my $ and buy it at launch.
For now it most likely just means the dual console/pc entitlement. It does mean it’s easier to bring to the full Game Pass suite down the line, though.
A “Play Anywhere” title, when you buy it, allows you to play the game from any device with your MS/Xbox account on it. You buy it one time and you can play on Xbox, PC, handheld, etc… Saves cross over too if I am not mistaken. So for example you can be playing at home on Xbox and then grab your laptop and continue playing where you left off on the road.
