Where Winds Meet, a highly anticipated action-adventure game developed by EverStone Studio, may be coming to Xbox consoles after all. Earlier today during the Playstation State of Play event, the game was revealed to be in development for the PS5. We were uncertain if this meant it wouldn’t release on Xbox but we now have some clarification.
Where Winds Meet is self-described as a “groundbreaking oriental wuxia open world”, and is set in China’s Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era. The Wuxia genre isn’t exactly commonplace over in the West when it comes to games, which is one of the reasons why this game being so high profile is so exciting. In their own words, you “experience original Wuxia combat with diverse weapons and skills, mastering the precision of Chinese martial arts.”
Spoken officially in their discord server, EverStone studios have confirmed that an Xbox port for Where Winds Meet has not yet been decided and is still in consideration. This was after users in the discord were debating back and forth whether the game was a PS console exclusive like so many before it. While this isn’t confirmation that the game will release on Xbox, of course, this does provide some hope for fans of the platform that it’s still very much in consideration. Those who want the game to release on Xbox should let Everstone Studios know as much as they can. Also announced at this event was a new Dynasty Warriors game that’s coming to Xbox.

While it’s uncertain when exactly Where Winds Meet will release (on PC or Xbox), we know that they had a closed beta test just earlier this year. Keep an eye out here for any new updates or news for the Xbox version of this game.
