Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has reported that Avowed and Indiana Jones will be getting previews around the June showcase event.
Reputed, and hated by many PR/Publishing companies, insider Tom Henderson has reported on Insider Gaming that Avowed and Indiana Jones are set to get previews on June 10th, a few days after the Xbox June Showcase:
“Insider Gaming has learned that both Avowed and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will be playable to select media outlets and content creators at this year’s Summer Game Fest. According to those familiar with the plans, both games are expected to be shown at this year’s Xbox Games Showcase, with previews from the hands-on going live on June 10.”
Both titles were featured earlier this year in an Xbox Direct where they were given 2024 as the only indication of when they would release. Tom Warren of The Verge reported his belief that the internal targets for the games is November for Avowed, and December for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Avowed is a first-person RPG from the team at Obsidian. Set in the same universe as the Pillars of Eternity titles. If The Outer Worlds was like a smaller scope take on a Fallout style game then Avowed is similar when compared to The Elder Scrolls. Bright, colorful magic can be mixed with swords, boards, and more.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes place timeline-wise between the first and third movies. It is, shockingly, a globe hopping adventure that takes place mostly from the first person perspective, though it does go 3rd person during some traversal animations.
