Accessory manufacturer 8BitDo has recently unveiled a series of new Xbox-branded controllers that are set to launch over the coming weeks. These controllers vary in features (all of them are wired for Xbox consoles), but they are all equipped with Hall Effect joysticks, which are perfect for players who are looking for precise movement, feel, and longer-lasting controllers.
Hall Effect sensors use magnets and electrical conductors, rather than electrical resistance found in your typical Xbox controller, to measure distance and position. It’s a low-cost but extremely reliable positional switch and you can learn more about them right this way.
