Fallout officially renewed for Season 2

‘Fallout’ has been a smash hit amongst critics and fans alike and has just been officially renewed for a second season. The news comes from Variety who were first to recieve confirmation about Season 2.

Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy who served as Executive Producers for the show shared a quote with Variety, saying “Praise be to our insanely brilliant showrunners, Geneva and Graham, to our kick-ass cast, to Todd and James and all the legends at Bethesda, and to Jen, Vernon and the amazing team at Amazon for their incredible support of this show. We can’t wait to blow up the world all over again.”

It has been easy to see how popular the show is with rave reviews and it’s placement amongst most viewed shows on the Amazon Prime app, but we also now know how successful it truly has been thanks to Amazon sharing data via Variety. “Per Amazon, the show ranks as one of the top three most-watched titles ever on Prime Video and the most-watched season of TV on the platform since “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.”

Xbox head Phil Spencer, who was directly involved with acquiring Bethesda back in 2021, commented on the confirmation of Season 2 on Twitter.

The success of the TV Show has also reinvigorated the series as a whole, leading to a large increase in sales for every game in the series and high player accounts across Xbox, Steam and other platforms. Fallout marks the first true multi media success story for Xbox. Shows like Halo have ultimately received mixed receptions and thus have been unable to reach a mass audience.

Season 1 of the Fallout Show is a great story by itself but sets up a lot of promising storylines that we should see explored in Season 2. Needless to say, we can not wait to get back to the Wasteland and continue watching the story unfold.
