‘XBHD’ Makers EON Gaming Offers Free Update Program for Customers With Brightness Issues—Black Friday Sale On All Adapters Until Cyber Monday

Firmware 2.0 to be implemented in all future shipments and a 20% sale across all the company's adapters.

‘XBHD’ manufacturer EON Gaming announced this week that they are making a firmware update program available for all XBHD owners that are experiencing brightness and compatability challenges with the adapter. Firmware 2.0 will be implemented in all production units going forward and current owners can reach out to [email protected] to get their units on the road to being updated.

This comes after waves of reports, including from Modern Vintage Gamer, about the XBHD having brightness issues that leave games darker than they would appear otherwise. In my review, I personally didn’t run into brightness issues and I’m still happily chipping away at ‘Sudeki’ in my free time. Still, I’ll look into getting my unit updated as well.

EON Gaming is also running a Black Friday sale on their website that covers all their adapters for a cool 20% off. This includes their XBHD, Super 64s (N64), and their GCHD MK-II adapters. If you’re looking to give an old console second wind, this adapters are perfect for the occasion.
