‘Hi-Fi Rush’ Nintendo Switch PEGI Rating Appears

Rushing to a new platform.

Popping up on Europe’s PEGI is a certification for Tango Gameworks’ and Bethesda’s critically acclaimed ‘Hi-Fi Rush’, now rated for the Nintendo Switch (and also, for PlayStation 5 oddly enough, despite launching in March). First launched on the Xbox Series consoles and PC followed by a PlayStation 5 release earlier this year, it looks like this rhythm-based action game will now be enjoyed by even more people. Now naturally, there’s been no announcement made yet regarding the port, but it’s likely closer than ever for a launch this year.

Something to note is that Hi-Fi Rush is not available on any last generation console a la PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, primarily due to performance reasons—while a native port is entirely possible, it wouldn’t surprise this writer if this game on the Nintendo Switch was a cloud-based title either as the console is no stranger to that.

Now if you haven’t played Hi-Fi Rush for some reason, know that we loved the game. Check out our review of the game right this way and click on over here to check out the PEGI rating for Hi-Fi Rush on the Nintendo Switch.

Hi-Fi RUSH is the latest game from the Evil Within team at Tango Gameworks.  It is absolutely gorgeous, hilarious, plays incredibly well, and is one of the best surprises I can remember.  Announced and released in the same day, I’ve spent 11 hours straight playing what is a damned masterpiece of an action platformer.  Hi-Fi RUSH is an action rhythm game interspersed with platforming segments and light puzzles.  It moves at a relentless pace during missions, cutting between stunning cutscenes that animate at a lower framerate but retain the same cel-shaded visual style of the gameplay.  I cannot overstate how good-looking this game is.  The animation work is excellent, the textures are pristine, and the image quality is crystal clear.  Colors pop, and the world sings to you as everything moves to the beat of the music.  The music my god, for a person born in the early 80s it sounds like my formative years.  The humor and style aim at the zoomer, but we millennials are in for a treat with bands like Nine Inch Nails leading the way as you murder robots with glee.
