On the latest Xbox podcast, Arkane studios heads Harvey Smith and Dinga Bakaba spoke to Jeff Rubsenstein about all things Dishonored and Deathloop. During their discussion about these games, Rubinstein asked Bakaba if Deathloop was somehow tied to Dishonored due to a few Easter eggs found in Deathloop.

Bakaba revealed that the games are indeed tied to the same universe and they purposely sprinkled some clues in the game. Bakaba’s quote specifically was “We envision Deathloop to be happening in the future after [Dishonored] Death of the Outsider.”
Fans have been theorizing this connection for a while due to in game Easter eggs and similarities between both games. Will this new revelation mean we could see further games that ties both franchises together? It’s unclear for now, but it is exciting to think about the possibilities.
