Remedy Entertainment and Smilegate-developed CrossfireX has now made its base game download available for preloading, as well as announcing that one of the two campaigns “Operation Catalyst” will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers when the game launches on the 10th of February, 2022 for Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.
CrossfireX was unveiled at Microsoft’s 2019 E3 press conference. With a Remedy-developed campaign and a free-to-play multiplayer portion developed by South Korean-developer Smilegate Entertainment. CrossfireX is a spiritual successor of sorts to the PC-original Crossfire from way back in the mid-2000s. Preloading can be done from the Xbox app on your mobile device, with add-on packs including both single player campaigns and multiplayer goodies being available from the Microsoft Store later on.
