Rumor: Xbox will host “Developer Direct” at the end of January, with updates on upcoming Xbox and Bethesda Games

What You Need to Know

  • Windows Central and Jez Corden report that Xbox will have an event, possibly titled “Developer Direct”, with a focus on Redfall, Forza Motorsport and more on January 25th.
  • It is currently unknown if Starfield will be at the show, with a strong possibility it skips and shows later in the year for a “bigger marketing beat”

The Wait is Finally Over

Xbox fans have been clamoring for updates for long awaited games from Xbox and Bethesda, and it seems like the wait might be coming to an end at the end of the month. Rumors have circulated of an Xbox event since late last year and Jez Corden of Windows Central has confirmed he has concretely heard the same and has added details.

The event may be called “Developer_Direct” and will focus on upcoming highly anticipated titles like Forza Motorsport and Redfall. The show should take place on January 25th and may be announced as soon as this week. It is currently unclear if Starfield will make the show, Corden speculates it might not be and will show up later on at another, bigger event. We will have to wait for official confirmation before knowing exactly what will be shown.
