343 promises improvements to Halo Infinite’s store starting next week

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is exceptionally fun to play, but one of the biggest complaints surrounding the entire experience is the games cosmetic store. The store currently sells a variety of items that are too expensive for what is being offered.

Jerry Hook, head of design at 343, broke down what will be changing with the store starting next Tuesday.

Hook mentions that 343 is “focused on reducing prices across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more.”

It is great to hear that 343 is quickly addressing what has been one of the loudest pieces of criticism levied at Halo Infinite. The level of transparency is appreciated, and is needed for a game this is in need of a few tweaks.

Halo Infinite is the first game in the series to have an entirely free to play multiplayer experience. With the decision to go free has brought along philosophical design choices that have been met with mixed reactions from the Halo community. 343 has done a good job responding to feedback thus far and will need to continue doing so to keep the community happy and the game healthy going forward.
