NieR:Automata coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 2nd – Game Pass launching in Japan soon

In a Square-Enix stream in which a remaster of NieR Replicant was announced, the company also revealed NieR Automata will come to Xbox Game Pass on April 2nd. The past few months Microsoft has been building an impressive Japanese library of games on Game Pass. Additionally Microsoft is planning on releasing the service in Japan soon according to the Japanese website GameWatch. In addition, Japan is currently not covered by the "Xbox Game Pass" service, but the service will be launched soon in Japan.

If the game will also launch on Game Pass for PC is unknown.

The main announcement of the stream was the reveal of NieR Replicant. A remaster of the 2010 game. Replicant has never appeared in the west before, so this will be the first time everyone will be able to enjoy this title. It’s developed by Toy Logic, who’ve also worked on Dragon Quest 11 and Super Smash Brawl.

Square Enix has promised to add new elements tot he game, with fully voiced dialogues. The original composer Keiichi Okabe has created a new recording of the soundtrack. The name of the game is fascinating, as always with NieR. The games full title will be NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..

Edit: As has been pointed out. NieR: Automata is set to launch on Game Pass on April 2nd, not April 3rd.
