Alpha, Alpha Skip Ahead and Beta Xbox Insiders are currently testing new audio features which will come in a future update to all. If you own an Xbox Series S or X you’ll soon have access settings that will enable you to preview how your audio setup outputs whilst gaming. Insiders now have the option to a brand new setup screen that lets users scroll through and test a variety of different options, including regular stereo uncompressed, 5.1 uncompressed and Dolby Atmos for your Home Theater.
Sound patterns will play along with on-screen animations to indicate which speaker is active with the ability to make adjustments. To those with expensive surround speaker setups, this should make your life much easier!
