Xbox Games Showcase Roughly Two Hours, No Full CG Trailers for First Party Games, No 12-Month Approach

Two hours of nonstop gaming. And Starfield.

In a series of Tweets by VP of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg, the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct will be roughly two hours all together. In addition, any first party games shown will not be presented with full CG (“pre-rendered trailers”) but “…either in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics.” No TV show or movie trailers will be present at the showcase. And lastly, the Games Showcase will not have a 12-month approach that previous Xbox summer shows have had.

The Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct will air in just about a week. You can watch it virtually on official YouTube and Twitch channels or, if you showed some due diligence, grabbed tickets to watch it at a theatre near you.
