Of course we all know that at some point this year, Microsoft and Sony are releasing new consoles – Microsoft with Xbox Series X, and Sony are releasing both the Playstation 5 and Playstation 5 Digital Edition.
What we’ve also heard, for many months now, is the existence of another Xbox due for release later this year, code-named ‘Lockhart’. This device, unlike the PS5 DE, is a cheaper, lower powered Xbox, likely named Xbox Series S.
Today, that evidence grows stronger.
We’re not sure where Timdog got these images from, but if they’re legitimate, they seem to indicate the Series S is definitely a thing.
The likelihood is that Series S will be to Series X what the One S is to the One X. Microsoft is supposed to having another moment at some point this month, possibly via IGN. We would assume we’ll hear more then.
