The Internet is undefeated. Twitter user @xepyal has pieced together an audio clip from the Discover Hope trailer, which was released early last month. He explains how he found it below
Again, the Internet wins agains. The audio itself is fascinating and may lead to clues of what to expect from the Cortana plot in Halo Infinite. You can listen to the audio here.
The 40 second audio clip starts with strange, alien sounds and leads into footsteps growing louder. Then, a woman who is unmistakably Cortana says “This,this is part of me. I don’t know why, I don’t know how, but it is me”.
It’s unclear exactly what she is referring to. Maybe this is a new version of Cortana, who is confused? Maybe it’s the same Cortana but corrupted or spliced? It’s hard to say.
We don’t know much about the plot of Halo Infinite, only that it is set after Halo 5. This audio clip is an exciting discovery and may lead to something bigger. Who knows, maybe there’s more secrets out there that the world has yet to find.
