Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition will receive new updates this year. World’s Edge, Tantalus Media and Forgotten Empires will release new DLC for both titles.
This summer Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will see the second expansion arrive, the first one launched earlier this year. It’s called Dawn of the Dukes. This content update introduces Eastern Europe and several campaigns.
Besides this content update, World’s Edge and their partners have also been updating certain scenario’s to be played in co-op mode. This means you can play Age of Empires II campaigns with a friend. The co-op update is coming somewhere this year.
Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition’s new update is arriving very soon. On April 13th a new civilization will be added to the game; The United States. The content is free to all players who finish the 50 State challenge in-game.
Besides the United States update, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition will also receive a new update later this year with African civilizations.
At the same event, World’s Edge and Relic have revealed that Age of Empires IV is releasing this fall.
