Swedish developer The Outsiders and publisher Funcom has announced the first downloadable content bit for Metal: Hellsinger, titled ‘Dream of the Beast’. This DLC features adds two new songs performed by Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Will Ramos (Lorna Shore). Alongside two headbangers, there’s an all-new song selector which allows for any song to be played on all levels, a new impossible weapon: a four-barrel machine gun that fires in a variable burst pattern, and three new outfits with special modifiers that affect healing, shields, or ammunition gain.
Metal: Hellsinger ‘Dream of the Beast’ is available as of this article’s publishing for Xbox Series consoles and PC, priced at $3.99/€3,99. No mention of Xbox One consoles, which the game is currently available on, at this time. A reminder that the game is currently on Game Pass as well.
We quite liked Metal: Hellsinger in our review, awarding the game an 8 out of 10 for its fast-paced gameplay, interesting locations, and rocking soundtrack. This DLC looks to ease the lack of variety that we had complaints about, and at such a reasonable price point too.

With today’s DLC and the new free Song Selector feature, you can choose any song (new ones included) you want to play on each level. Since gameplay and music are two horns on the same hand, this adds a whole new variety to Metal: Hellsinger.
Dream of the Beast further expands your arsenal by adding a new impossible weapon and three powerful outfits with special modifiers, including shields, healing, or more max ammo.
