Two weeks ago both Fortnite and Xbox clubbed together and decided to pledge all proceeds from sales on Fornite to humanitarian relief for the people of Ukraine. All of the funds have gone directly to @DirectRelief, @UNICEF, @WFP, @Refugees and @WCKitchen. $144million USD in total has been raised from sales within the Fortnite store, an incredible feat.
CEO of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer had the following to say and commended everyone’s efforts:
