Outriders will be available for Xbox Game Pass for PC starting October 19th

In an Xbox Wire post Microsoft, Square-Enix and People Can Fly revealed that Outriders is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC this week, on October 19th. While the game launched on Xbox Game Pass earlier this year, PC players have had to wait a little longer to enjoy this sci-fi RPG.

Xbox Game Pass for PC users who have played the game on Xbox will be happy to know the game will feature full cross-progression and cross-play between the Microsoft Store versions on Windows and Xbox. The Xbox Wire blogpost mentions cross-progression isn’t available between Steam and the Microsoft versions of the game.:

If you’re already a veteran Outrider on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, you’ll be happy to hear that you can transfer your progress between console and the Windows version if you use the same account on both platforms. However, progress cannot be transferred to or from the Windows version from any other PC storefront (e.g. Steam) or non-Xbox consoles.

However, cross-play does support other platforms.
