QuakeCon 2021 will be held from August 19 to August 21 this summer. For people who aren’t familliar with QuakeCon, it’s a yearly convention by id Software to celebrate their shooter franchises such as Quake, Doom and Wolfenstein. It’s refered to as a week of ”peace, love and rockets.” The first QuakeCon was held in 1996.
QuakeCon isn’t only a convention, but also a large LAN-party with eSports tournaments for games such as QuakeWorld. In 2014 the new Doom was revealed at this event. And in 2018 a gameplay trailer for Doom Eternal was shown during the convention.
