In a few hours from now we’ll see the first episode of Inside Xbox since X019. Many people thought the format was dead, but it seems there is still some live in the show after all.
With new branding and a very special episode – everyone at Xbox is working from home – we’ll get information on Xbox One games. We don’t expect this show to be about games for the new Xbox Series X. We do know that Microsoft’s Jason Ronald will talk about Xbox Series X, as a recap of what has been announced so far about the new box.
So, how about the games? What are we expecting from this show?
Grounded
Today we’ll hear more about the single player experience on Obsidians new survival game Grounded. This game is being made by a small team within Obsidian, but will contain a singleplayer story (which can also be played in co-op). After Inside Xbox, there will be a stream on Mixer where they’ll talk more in depth about the single player experience of this new title.
We also expect the game to launch in early access very soon. So that’s an announcement to look out for.
Gears Tactics
This game by Splash Damage and The Coalition is releasing at the end of April on PC. We’ll probably hear things similar to the previews done earlier this month.
Sea of Thieves
The new content update for Sea of Thieves is releasing in a couple of days. At this Inside Xbox episode we’ll learn more about what’s inside of this months free update. If you are a fan of Sea of Thieves, you shouldn’t miss this.
A release date for Sea of Thieves on Steam is also a possible candidate for todays show.
Other games
We could see more information Elden Ring by From Software at this event, but it seems more likely that they’ll wait with that untill the Xbox June event.
The No Man’s Sky Mech trailer leaked yesterday. Some people assumed it was supposed to be revealed at Inside Xbox today. You can see the trailer here:
Most of all we expect new additions to Xbox Game Pass for this month. NieR: Automata and Totally Reliable Delivery Service (A review for that game is coming soon on XboxEra) have been added to the service ths month. Just as Overcooked 2.
The other half of the month we’ll know they will release Gears Tactics, but there will probably be more. This will be revealed today on Inside Xbox.
Besides that I’d recommend to keep your expectations in check. These shows have never had many big announcements. And with COVID-19 making everything even more confusing and difficult, it’s nice to have an event out for some games closer to launch. As we all need games to play during these testing times.
