Quite the launch for a 10 year old game.
We already knew Halo Reach was a success this month. The game was doing well on Twitch, Steam, Xbox Game Pass and on the Xbox One itself. Today Xbox Wire has shared some numbers that confirm this.
The Master Chief Collection has been played by nearly 3 million players since the launch on December 3rd. On PC, this means only Reach as the other games in the collection haven’t released yet.
The game was also the most watched game on Twitch during launch day. And the top selling game on Steam during launch week. Becoming the highest ranking debut on Steam for a Xbox Game Studio title. Probably before their other Steam juggernaut Age of Empires 2.
