NEW Starfield Details- Hardcore Role Playing Game, Alien Races, and more

Starfield was officially shown beyond 2018’s teaser and was given a November 2022 release date during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. What was shown at the showcase was enlightening, but the interviews after have given even more detail about the game and what to expect.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Todd Howard discussed his new game without giving away too much. The entire interview is worth reading, but a few specific quotes stand out.

First, Howard describes returning to the roots of what Bethesda used to do with Starfield, saying “It’s also a bit more hardcore of a role playing game than we’ve done. It’s got some really great character systems – choosing your background, things like that. We’re going back to some things that we used to do in games long ago that we felt have really let players express the character they want to be. So I think when you see it being played, you would recognise it as something we made.”

Howard goes on to confirm that Alien races will be in the game but won’t give much detail about that, only saying that “There is a way we approach it”. One of the games greatest mysteries has been whether Aliens would be in the game and this is clearly an answer. It is still unclear whether or not they will be intelligent and civilized, or just monstrous enemies you fight throughout exploration.

There is a ton more information in the article, such as when we should expect to see full gameplay, the scope of the game, and what the game feels like. All of this great insight is available here so make sure to check it out.
